more than three months

I cant almost understand normal conversation! and Catalan is coming along too. im passing almost every class. but thats just because im in 4t. only suspended in projecto investigació. Im basically completely comfortable with my host family. By now things are starting to be normal. I feel like im pretty much used to spanish life i think.

almost 2 months

Time is flying by. Ive been really busy these last few weeks. but having a good time. making some friends here and all that jazz. school... is about the same, its tough, but im doing good in socials and matematicas because I covered the subjects about 2 years ago:) But right now things are going well, ALMOST no homesickness

school has been going pretty good. i guess. i cant understand anything the teachers say in catalan still. but i can catch a bit of what they say in castellano. its getting better though. ive been making some friends here. getting along pretty well with everyone. but more than anything ive been kinda bored. i sit around in the house a lot. i need to get some more cell phone numbers.haha. my siblings always seem to have hommework. but i never really do. as far as i know.

So... i start school on Monday... today all ive done is sit around the house. My host mom had to go to work for the first half of the day so... i slept a lot. I kinda wish i could just start school now so i could go out and meet some more new people. The only time i regret going is at night when im not doing anything. But even then im glad i went, i just miss everyone. Well my host sister just got hom efor the midday siesta\comida break from school. i still need to figure out how to post those pictures on facebook:(

¡Mann! My castellano is coming along but i still cant understand much of what anyone says to me. and everyone talks so fast! My Catalán is not coming along at all and i have to go to a school where they speak only Catalán. I went to Barcelona today for an hour or so to get my visa papers straight but its not all finished yet its all very confusing escpecially because i dont understand anything anyone says. My family is pretty cool so far. they are very.... ¿loud? i dont know they are a lot of things. i have my own room and the house does not have air conditioning and it is always hot. but so far it has been very fun. I cant wait to meet up with teh other exchange students and talk about all that has happened.

About to Leave

I cant believe that all this is happening! I leave tomorrow for my grandparents house near San Fransisco and ill spend the night there then wake up at 3:30 a.m. and get on my 5 hour flight to New York as 6:30. I spend the night there and then make the 10 or so hour flight to Madrid. Then stay there for a week at orientation. and then its off to Martorell.

Im excited and sad and a bit nervous too. I just want to get the whole goodbye stage behind me.

I leave in just 15 days! Its hard to believe it. But I am excited about learning the language and culture of Spain.I want to go but I will miss America I think.

I have recently been accepted to Spain! I will live in the northwest region of Spain, Catalonia. I will be living in the town of Martorell which is 30 minutes from the city of Barcelona.
