A lil left
Well im about done with school already, just a few tests to try to raise grades(doubt im going to be very successful with that...) and now ive got a few days ahead of me in which i dont have ANYTHING to do. i guess ill try to go to barcelona and hang out with friends. I know that i only have about 2 weeks left but i still cant imagine that im leaving. And with the knowledge of leaving so soon, comes the desire to aprovechar(enjoy) whats left of my time in spain. But how do i do that!? I mean, i can go to Barcelona of course and walk around but none of my friends here would really want to go because they think theyve seen what they need to see of barcelona already. I guess ill just try to invite someone.

I guess this whole gig has to come to an end sometime...
So, Its pretty crazy, and i cant really believe its happenning, but my 10 months in spain are coming to an end. I have only 23 days left in catalunya... School is coming to an end now and all my friends tell me continuosly that i should stay here. Im really going to miss living here a lot.
Lets see, yesterday i got back from the school end of the year trip to Berlin. I had an awesome time there with all my Spanish friends and came to the realization of how true the spanish stereotype of being loud really is. jajaja, we were staying in a hostal and the neighbors across the street appearently called the owner and told him that if we didnt quiet down he would call the police. I didnt really notice how loud we were before because well, ive been in spain for a year... But the trip was really fun(In germany the drinking age is 16...) and we saw some pretty cool stuff. My favorite thing has to be the museum of modern art. They had some really interesting stuff there, its to bad i was the only person who enjoyed it... I also really enjoyed when the whole class went to the discotheque WITH the teachers. Spain´s teachers are very different from american ones.

less than two months left
Right now im just feeling a little jealous of some of the other AFS students blogs jajaja. Jacob Spetzlers blog http://jacobspetzler.tumblr.com/, and pretty much everyone elses... guess thats probably because i haven't spent any time doing it. I guess ill give you all a verrrrry short summary of what has happened since the last time i posted anything, which was when i visited Bilbao and stayed with Jacob. Sooo, this is harder than it may seem and harder than it should be, but im going to try to find, for me, the single most important event that has happened since then. AHAH! It would have to be the camino de santiago. It wasnt as life changing as i wouldve liked it to be nor like all the people on the internet say it should be, but it was pretty cool, and I did make quite a few friends in those five days of walking and one day of rest....and twelve hours in train. I guess ill just go for my first long post and explain everything, sorry guys.
So, before all of this, I was planing on going on a trip with some other exchange students to málaga in the south of spain for the "semana santa". But, a few weeks before this poorly(well i shouldnt say poorly planned, just tediously, stressingly and loosly planned) planned trip was to take place, i got a message from AFS telling me that we might do the camino de santiago, at first i wasnt sure if i would do it, but my host mom made sure i would. And now im glad I did it, it was an awesome experience and plus, according to the catholic church, i have 3 years of pardoned sins. We walked a total of 110km in five days so an average of about 22km a day. My mind is kinda racing right now and im very distracted so im not going to go through all the days, but ill tell you that at the end we all felt pretty accomplished. And we were all pretty good friends by the end of it all.
In short these has been a great month and a half, a crazy, fast, weird and i guess, if you think about it, life changing month and a half. I hope to update soon about this coming weekend when i go to madrid.

Only three and a half months left...
This last weekend I went to visit one of my friends from AFS in Bilbao. It was a great experience, especially since it was the day of carnaval. The only bad thing was that i had to take an 8 hour bus ride both ways, but that didnt turn out to be as bad as i thought it would be. It was nice to see my friend again after 6 months, plus i got to see bilbao which is a really nice city, not as big as barcelona but I still liked it. I got lucky that i wasnt placed in the basque country. The basque language is crazy, its completely different from all other languages in the world.

More than half way through
Sorry about not updating this for awhile, here I always seem to be pretty busy, doing homework, planning trips, hanging out with friends...
But things here are going great, im getting alot pretty decently with my host family, im getting kind of decent grades, only suspending one class and here thats actually pretty good, and ive got lots of friends. For the most part life here is much more exciting than life in california, for one, here i live in a city, where if i get bored i can actually walk to wherever i want to go, and even go to barcelona if i use the train. However, I do look forward to returning home but not any earlier than I have to.
Ive got lots of plans for the coming month, on the 5th of march I will leave for Bilbao in the north of spain, where I will stay with another foreign exchange student for the weekend and leave on monday. The next weekend I wil be going with my family to the south of Catalunya, not sure exactly where but i hope its on the beach.
Hopefully youll here from me soon.
